Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are lay people who volunteer and are trained to assist the priest in distributing Holy Communion at Mass. They also help in bringing the Eucharist to the sick at area hospitals and nursing homes, and make home visits to those unable to participate in community worship. Each minister receives instructions dealing with the role of lay ministers, with an emphasis on the Eucharist. If you are interested in serving in this ministry, please contact the Parish Offices.
