Acts 2-38: Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Baptism is the central rite through which the faithful enter into communion with Christ's life, death, and resurrection. Baptism washes away sins and welcomes new members into our Catholic family. Infants can be baptized soon after their birth. At the time of Baptism, parents vow to practice their faith and provide a Catholic upbringing for the child.
Infant Baptism: A pre-baptismal class for parents who are expecting their first child is offered on the First Sunday of each month at 1:00pm in Marian Hall. Please call the Parish Offices to register for the pre-baptisimal preparation session. Following this session, the baptism is scheduled with Father for a time which is convenient for the family.
Adult Baptism: Adults who have never been baptized participate in RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults), and will typically be baptized at the Easter Vigil. The Catholic Church recognizes the Baptism from other Christian denominations who baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and with the pouring of water or immersion. Thus, a person can only be baptized once. For more information click RCIA.
